PURPOSE: A wireless-based thin client E-mail service system through the reduction of transmission quality and a method therefor are provided to improve the transmission speed of a wireless communication network and improve a connection speed with a mail server by applying a thin client technique which is not used in the wireless communication to a wireless communication and considerable decreasing the transmission quality of the wireless communication network. CONSTITUTION: A client OS(Operating System)(30) receives a user command such as E-mail connection, and an E-mail program execution or an attach file program execution to transmit received user information, and receives display information such as E-mail connection information, and E-mail program execution screen information or attach file program execution screen information to display received display information to the user. A client wireless communication unit(31) receives the user command from the client OS(30), converts the received user command into a wireless transmission format, and transmits the converted user command to a network side. The client wireless communication unit(31) converts display information received from the network side and transmits converted display information to the client OS(30). A wireless communication network(33) receives the user command from the client wireless communication unit(31) to transmit the received user command to a sever side, and receives display information from the server side to transmit received display information to the client wireless communication unit(31). A mail server(40) and a plurality of terminal servers(34) analyze the user command received through the wireless communication network(33), execute the corresponding E-mail connection, and the E-mail program or attach file program, and extract display information(screen update information) necessary for displaying result information. The mail server(40) and the terminal servers(34) convert display information to be suitable for a screen size of a client side, compress display information, and transmit compressed display information to the client wireless communication unit(31) through the wireless communication network(33). |
