WORKING METHOD FOR GLASS BY MEANS OF LASER AND DEVICE THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desirable laser chamfering method of glass material which solves problems such as the generation of fine waste of glass and the generation of crack and realizes an excellent laser chamfering processing in a chamfering processing method of glass material. SOLUTION: In this chamfering method for glass material in which the processing is performed so as to prevent the cracking at a corner part of a glass sheet, the edge part of the glass sheet which is obliquely inclined is illuminated with converged CO2 laser beam, the laser beam is relatively scanned along the edge line and the upper corner of edge part of illuminated surface is removed.
