PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilt sensor capable of accurately detecting tilts of two directions of an X-axis and a Y-axis in a simple structure. SOLUTION: The tilt sensor comprises two optical liquid level sensors 13 and 14 disposed at positions of orthogonal two axes (X-axis and Y-axis) displaced out of an intersection of the two axes in a plane parallel to upper and lower surfaces of a sensor container 12 in which a liquid 11 is filled to detect the tilts from the X-axis direction and the Y-axis direction of the container 12. The two sensors 13 and 14 respectively have different refractive indexes from that of the liquid 11 housed in the container 12 and each has a solid bar- like beam guiding photoconductor formed so that a size of a rectangular cross section is gradually reduced from one end side disposed in the liquid toward an another end side disposed in the air as a sensing unit for detecting a liquid level. |
