PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partition and a building structure, which can facilitate operations for making changes in room layout and the like, and are easy to handle. SOLUTION: The adjustable partition is installed detachably between a ceiling and a floor, where respective engaging members are disposed in parallel in one direction or in such a manner of to crossing each other. Upper and lower edges of the partition are provided with locking means, engaged respectively with a channel member 30, which is installed in the ceiling, and a channel member 72 which is installed in the floor. The partition is provided with an adjusting means 40, for adjusting a height position of the locking means provided at the upper edge of the partition. The locking means is equipped with rails 20 and 60, which are provided in a longitudinal direction of the partition, moving blocks 26 and 62 which are mounted movably on the rails 20 and 60, and locking screws 28 and 64 which make the moving blocks 26 and 62 locked in arbitrary positions of the rails 20 and 60 and whose head parts are engaged with one of the engaging members installed in the ceiling and the floor.
