PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a lens cap from being mounted aslant. SOLUTION: The lens cap (2), used by being put on a lens barrel (1) or lens hood, includes a disk-shaped base surface (2F) on which a front end (1B) of the lens barrel (1) or the lens hood abuts against and a disk-shaped planar reinforcing member (3), which is smaller in diameter than the inner peripheral diameter of the front end (1B) and is fixed to the central part of the base surface (2F). The outer peripheral part of the reinforcing member (3) and the inner peripheral part of the front end (1B) of the lens barrel (1) abut against each other, thereby regulating the position of the lens barrel (1) or the lens hood and the lens cap (2).
