PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of easily and flexibly coping with the size of a sheet and satisfactorily restricting the sheet in lateral direction and an imaging device. SOLUTION: This paper feeder comprises side fences 31 having restricting faces 30 coming into contact with the side edges of the sheet P on a paper feed table and restricting the sheet P in the lateral direction X and shafts 32 for rotating the side fences 31. When the side fences 31 are rotated about the shafts 32, the positions of the restricting faces 30 coming into contact with the side edges of the sheet P are displaced in lateral direction X according to the width of the sheet P. The imaging device comprises the paper feeder.
