PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder that can form a color proof of which the superposed part of a special color with the other color as a proof can be surely visible without being affected by a characteristic of a recording material. SOLUTION: This image recorder has a switching means that switches a look-up-table 205 between the recording of a predetermined line and the recording of the other line. The look-up table 205 is selected when recording a pixel represented by combination of the special color data and the other color in image data in plural colors necessary for forming the color proof.
