Electrical drive and automatic door opening device with worm gear transmission

The drive has a gearbox whose reduction ratio is at least 80:1 with two stages. The first stage is a worm gearbox stage (2) and the second stage is a spur wheel gearbox stage (3). The worm gearbox stage has a plastic worm wheel (8). The drive can be symmetrical for both right and left hung swing doors. Independent claims are also included for the following: an automatic door system.
