<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-wavelength exciting Raman amplifier which has proper amplification efficiency and little deterioration of an optical signal due to noise. SOLUTION: In the multi-wavelength exciting Raman amplifier, which uses using an optical fiber amplifier for light amplification, fiber length of optical fiber used as an optical amplification medium is set to a length, by which the S/N of the optical fiber amplifier is best or nearly the best.</p> |
