PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method which enables synthesis of a polymer having a high modulus at 100% elongation by a coupling reaction utilizing a hydroxy group of a polyoxyalkylene polymer containing in one molecule a crosslinkable silicon group and a hydroxy group. SOLUTION: The production method of the crosslinkable silicon group- containing polyoxyalkylene polymer comprises subjecting a polyoxyalkylene polymer, which contains at least 85% of a polyoxyalkylene polymer having a number-average molecular weight of at least 3,000 and bears an unsaturated group and a hydroxy group in one molecule, to a hydrosilylation reaction with a compound, which contains in one molecule a hydrogen-silicon bond and a crosslinkable silicon group, with a hydrosilylation yield based on the unsaturated group of at least 75%, and effecting a coupling reaction utilizing a hydroxy group of the resultant polyoxyalkylene polymer containing a crosslinkable silicon group and a hydroxy group in one molecule.
