PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet handling device capable of switching the sheet size in one operation, improving the usability, and preventing any jamming. SOLUTION: Sheets from a sheet discharge port of a printer are stacked on right and left slide guides 310 and 311, the sheets are returned to a reference wall 323 by a sheet returning member 322, and the right slide guide 311 is pressed against the left slide guide to align the sheets. After sheet bundles are stapled by a stapler, the right and left slide guides are opened to drop the sheet bundle downwardly. A drop guide 400 is abutted on a lower side of the dropped sheets to guide them in the predetermined dropping direction. When changing the sheet size, the stapler, the sheet returning member 322 and the drop guide 400 are integrally moved.
