PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die casting apparatus with which the inner part in a cavity in the die can be evacuated to further higher vacuum, in the die casting apparatus using a vacuum die casting method. SOLUTION: In the die casting apparatus for forming a die casting product by reducing the pressure in the cavity formed in between a pair of dies and injecting and filling up molten metal into this cavity, the dies 2, 3 are provided with a gas exhaust path Ep communicating with the cavity C, a valve body opening/closing the gas exhaust path Ep and an electromagnetic actuator 22 as an electromagnetic driving means directly driving the valve body 24 in the opening/closing direction with the electromagnetic force.
