PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device for vehicle whose air bag body can be inflated downward in a curtain form properly even if a pillar falls down to the cabin side to make deformation. SOLUTION: At a lateral collision of a vehicle, there is a risk that its center pillar 13 falls down to the cabin side to make deformation and in that part, the air bag body 1 is pinched by the bottom of a roof trim 16 in the two-folded condition in the initial period of inflation, but in the upper part of a chamber 3A mating with the center pillar 13, the inflating thickness of the chamber 3A is restricted small by a fastening part 21 where an inner base cloth 1a is coupled with an outer base cloth 1b, so that the bottom of the air bag body 1 two-folded can go under easily and has no risk to hitch in the part with center pillar 13, and it is possible for the air bag body 1 to be inflated downward in curtain form as a whole. |
