PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag fold-up method capable of reducing the man- hours for folding up and establishing the mechanism of the fold-up device simply. SOLUTION: According to the fold-up method for an air bag 11, first one surface 12b of the air bag 11 in the flattened condition ready for folding up is abutted to a folding table 41 and then the end face 44a of a folding plate 44 located alongside each fold 27 is abutted to that fold 27 of the other surface 12d as an inner folding. Then the folding plates 44 are approached to one another, and each air bag portion 11d between adjoining folding plates 44 is bent while the air bag portions 11c of the folds 27 as inner folding are slid on the folding table 41, and folded as outer folding in such a way as pinching by adjoining folding plates 44 so that inner folds 27 and outer folds 28 are generated, and thus a bellow folding is established. |
