PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize equipment incorporating a hermetic electric compressor by reducing the dimension of a longitudinal direction of the compressor, securing high performance and high reliability. SOLUTION: An adapter 2e is electrically welded on an opening part 2h formed on an upper surface of a hermetic container 2, a fitting part of a suction pipe 2d fitted with the adapter 2e is brazed, an inserting part of a connection pipe 4 inserted into the suction pipe 2d projected from the hermetic container 2 is brazed, the adapter 2e is formed into a substantially triangular shape having an inclined upper surface part 2e1 and a vertical inner peripheral part 2e2, the inclined upper surface 2e1 is welded on an end face inside angle part of the opening part 2h by electric resistance welding, the suction pipe 2d is fitted into the vertical inner peripheral part 2e2, and the fitting part is brazed.
