PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fault locator receiving no influence from the duration of an accident, capable of starting fault locating calculation, and also capable of responding to shortening of the duration of the accident thereafter. SOLUTION: In this fault locator, removal of a system accident is detected by resetting of a relay action (under voltage relay) at the time when the accident happened, and it is treated as a starting signal for fault locating operation, in order to prevent an error in a distance to be located from being increased by the duration of the accident. In addition, since a starting point is determined by opening a breaker, operation by data for the stable points of an accident current becomes possible. |
