Component for mounting in a body part

A lamp (4) for fitting into a recess (5) in a part (3) of a body (4) is fixed in its reference position in the recess (5) by a pivot projection (1) engaging into an opening (2) in the body, and by a V-shaped resilient detent element (10). The detent element (10) has a first limb (12) projecting inclinedly at an angle from the rear wall (6) of the component. The first limb (12) has a holding projection (11) which in the reference position of the component (4) engages behind an opening (8) in the body. The free end of the second limb (9) of the detent element (10) carries dismantling projections (7) which when the component (4) is further pressed (A) into the recess (5) latch behind catches (13) on the component (4) to fix the detent element (10) in a configuration in which the holding projection (11) is released from its latching engagement with the body. The construction provides an improved utilisation of space while allowing ease of assembly/disassembly.
