PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling data on plate-making for printing which makes it possible to check that the data on plate-making is already checked, and to check the contents of checking information and others, on a computer, on the occasion of preparing the data by the computer, a system for controlling the data for plate-making which executes the controlling method, equipment for controlling the data on plate-making, a device for checking, and a magnetic recording medium. SOLUTION: The checking information obtained on the occasion when the data on plate-making prepared by using the computer are checked by an image based on the data, e.g. an image on a display screen, is stored as information incidental to the data on plate-making in a server computer. In the case when the data are checked at a remote place by using the computer, data for screen display of a display device used for checking are prepared on the basis of the data on plate-making, and transmitted to the computer on the checker side connected through a communication circuit. After the checking, the checking information is returned as reply information from the computer on the checker side through the communication circuit. |
