<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a beam deflection plate for deflection rays to a selective direction and a switching system, having plural terminals for light signals which enter the switching system through 1 or more terminals and are outputted by the selectable terminals. SOLUTION: The beam deflection plates 1 of the rays 9 have a pair of electronic arrays 19 and 23 and first plate 3 of an electro-optical material, arranged between a pair of planoparallel mirrors 5 and 7 and are capable of changing the refractive index of the electro-optical material, by impressing a voltage thereto. The reflectivity of a pair of first mirrors 5, facing incident light 9, is lower than that of second mirrors 7 and the first or second mirrors has plural dielectric layers 11 and 13 having the refractive indices different from each other. Furthermore, the switching system has the plural terminals for the light signals and the beam deflecting plates 1, allocated to each other in pairs and the respective beam deflection plates, and are capable of controlling the beams 9 in such a manner that the rays are deflected in the selectable direction and are admitted into at least one selected terminals.</p> |
