PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prism cutting device improving the production efficiency by enabling cutting the prism by a rotary blade, even if the carriage speed of the prism is enhanced, and consequently increasing the frequency of cutting the prisms per hour. SOLUTION: This prism cutting device 1 cuts the long prism carried by a carrier device. This cutting device is provided with a sickle-shaped rotary blade disposed orthogonally to the carrier direction of the prism A and cuts the prism A from the upper direction by the rotary movement with a horizontal shaft 5 set to the center, a fixed blade 3 corresponding to the rotary blade 2 and disposed under the prism A, and a base 4 mounting the rotary blade 2 and the fixed blade 3 and movably formed by following the carriage of the prism A.
