PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of assembling and inspecting man-hours for an electric power steering device. SOLUTION: This electric power steering device 10 is comprised of a rack 32 in one side of one end part of a rack shaft 26 extended in the car width direction, a steering pinion 31 is geared with the rack 32, a screw part 71 is formed in a part of the rack shaft 26 except for the rack 32, a nut 73 of a ball screw 70 is assembled with the screw part 71 via a ball, and a hollow motor shaft surrounding the rack shaft 26 is connected to the nut 73. This constitution allows auxiliary torque generated by a motor 50 to be applied to the rack shaft 26 from the motor shaft via the nut 73 according to the steering torque. The nut 73 is disposed between the rack 32 and the motor 50. |
