<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological treatment apparatus capable of economically treating wastewater containing organic substances with higher efficiency, and a biological treatment method using the same. SOLUTION: The biological treatment apparatus is constituted of a biological treatment tank for biologically treating organic matter in raw water and a sludge separation tank for separating sludge and treated water on the downstream side of the biological treatment tank. The biological treatment tank is equipped with a sludge pulverizing device for mixing sludge separated in the sludge separation tank with air and finely pulverizing sludge to discharge the same and an air diffuser for supplying air into the biological treatment tank.</p> |
