PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the breakage of the mouth and body of a caught fish by reducing the rotational speed of a reel in response to an overload added to a fishing line. SOLUTION: When a fishing line is wound up at a preliminarily set speed in the electrically driven fishing reel, and when a larger load than a load corresponding to the set speed is added to the fishing line, the winding speed is reduced. The treatment is carried out with CPU, while referring to a data table obtained by using a calculative table related to a load-proper rotational speed as a date base.
