PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for machining unevenness for thread of a metal pipe capable of reducing the machining cost by an inexpensive machining method, and drastically reducing the cost through continuous production. SOLUTION: A device for machining unevenness for thread on the metal pipe comprises a plurality of split pressing members 1, 2 and 3 for pressing a metal pipe P from the outside, a rotational mechanism 4 for rotating the metal pipe P, a cutting mechanism 5 of the metal pipe P and a feeding mechanism 6 of the metal pipe P. The load is applied to the outside of the metal pipe P by the pressing members 1, 2 and 3 to form unevenness for thread in an inner surface and an outer surface of the metal pipe P while rotating the metal pipe P by the rotating mechanism 4, and the metal pipe P is cut to have the predetermined dimension by the cutting mechanism 5.
