transport engineering; vehicle shoe brakes. SUBSTANCE: proposed shoe brake has drum and shoe hinge-coupled with drive crank arranged in center. Novelty is that shoe is furnished with rigidly secured sector of pinion engaging with fixed support gear wheel through internal teeth. Gear wheel is coaxial with drum. Pitch diameter of support gear wheel is equal to diameter of drum working surface. EFFECT: improved stability of operation, prevention of self actuating and slipping which provides reliable operation of brake. 2 dwg
