PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To instantly change the strength of sound pressure of ultrasonic beam at the focal point and transmit even if there is no structure to instantly change the driving voltage of the vibration elements of an ultrasonic probe. SOLUTION: The size of the opening of an ultrasonic probe is changed from a large opening Aa to a small opening Ab or vice versa. The large opening Aa can form an ultrasonic beam of relatively high sound pressure and the small opening Ab can form an ultrasonic beam of relatively low sound pressure and instant switching can be made between them.
