PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight planting soil having small specific gravity, capable of being obtained at a low cost, and also contributing to recycle of wastes. SOLUTION: This lightweight planting soil having specific gravity of about 0.6 is produced by mixing fine sand, foam glass, tree leaves, food residue and water retention/deodorization materials together; wherein the total weight ratio of the fine sand foam glass, tree leaves and food residue is about 95 wt.% and the weight ratio of the water retention/deodorization is about 5 wt.%, and at least one kind selected from charcoal, chaff charcoal, coconut husk charcoal, and rice husk vinegar liquid or pyroligneous acid is used as the water retention/deodorization material(s). |
