The invention relates to an articulated structure (3, 4, 5) supporting medical equipment and apparatus, particularly for patient monitoring or respiratory assistance (6, 8), comprising a more or less arc-shaped rigid handle (12) which is fixed to a stationary element (7) of the piece of equipment. Said handle is provided with at least one manual actuator (11) on the external face thereof, typically of the type having a deformable membrane, which can be used to control a braking/locking device (9, 10) that acts on a hinge pin of the articulated structure. Said arrangement enables the articulated structure to be manoeuvred ergonomically and locked in position instantaneously. |
