PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device capable of sorting printing jobs by making the direction of a paper sheet differ per printing job when the printing jobs for the same paper size are continuous. SOLUTION: The printer device 1 receives printing data sent from a host device in a reception processing part 2, transfers image data to an image processing part 3, and transfers document size and a job sorting command to a system control part 5. When the job sorting command is ON, the system control part 5 obtains use history information of a paper supply tray from a storage part 6 and performs sorting printing processing for conveying and printing a paper sheet from a paper supply cassette in which the paper sheets having the same paper size in the direction different from the direction of printing just before printing are set, if document size in printing processing just before printing is the same as document size at this time. When the job sorting command is OFF, the system control part 5 checks whether ON/OFF setting information of a job sorting function stored in the storage part 6 is ON or not, performs a sorting printing process, if the ON/OFF setting information is ON, and performs ordinary printing, if the ON/OFF setting information is OFF. |
