<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phase monitoring unit which is capable of improving digital transmission in communication quality by decreasing a compulsory phasing operation in frequency. SOLUTION: A digital transmission phase monitoring unit generates a processing reference clock for processing the received signal on the basis of a receiving reference clock received from a transmission line or extracted from the received signal, by taking advantage of the tracking function of a phase lock oscillation circuit. The digital transmission phase monitoring unit is equipped with a phase deviation detecting means which detects a phase difference between the received reference clock and the processing reference clock, and a phasing means which carries out a compulsory phasing operation for correcting a phase difference at timing as late as possible.</p> |
