PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unique POS(point of sales) system capable of improving customer services and shop side business efficiency. SOLUTION: When a terminal is detected to have a portable information terminal set to a radio-communicatable state, whether the detected portable information terminal is being used by another machine or not can be judged. When it is judged that there is no usage declaration memory, the radio communication connection to the detected portable information terminal is permitted, and a usage declaration can be reported to other machines. After the radio communication with the detected portable information terminal is completed, the usage release declaration of the detected portable information terminal can be reported to other machines. When it is judged that there is a usage declaration memory, the radio communication connection to the detected portable information terminal can be prohibited. When a usage declaration report is received from another machine, the usage declaration can be stored. When a usage release report is received from another machine, the usage declaration can be erased. |
