PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a recording solution having excellent discharge stability in high-speed printing and after long-term stop and improved color development, preventing blurring, exhibiting excellent characteristics as a color recording solution and to provide a recording solution cartridge, a recording method, a recorder and a recording medium. SOLUTION: This recording solution is obtained by formulating a recording solution containing a colorant to be dispersed or dissolved in water, water and a water-soluble organic solvent with an azo dye represented by formula 1 and a xanthene dye represented by formula 2 or an azo dye represented by formula 3 [R1, R3 and R4 are each H, an alkyl group or an aryl group; R2 is H or an alkyl group; M is a cation; (n) is an integer of 2-4; R21 to R24 are each H, a 1-4C alkyl group or a halogen; X1 and X2 are H, sulfonic acid group, sulfonamide group, carboxylic acid group or a carboxylic acid group- containing arylsulfonamide group; Y21 is SO3- or COO-]. The recording solution cartridge holds the recording solution. The recorder or recording method uses the recording solution. |
