PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sufficiently reliable personal authentication device capable of accommodate variations in accuracy by a difference in input environments of biological information or a secular change. SOLUTION: This system includes an environment measuring means which measures the input environment of the biological information, and determines the stage of the applicable input environment from the input environments previously categorized into one or more stages, an environment-specific biological information storing means which stores the data of the prescribed biological information as biological information registry data so as to accommodate the respective stages of the input environment, an environment-specific biological information registering means which makes the environment-specific biological information storing means store the biological information registry data for registration so as to accommodate the stage of the determined input environment, a biological information input means which inputs the biological information as the input biological information environment, an environment biological information collating means which collates the input biological information data against the biological information registry data registered so as to accommodate the stage of the input environment of the input biological information, and an environment collating determining means which determines whether a user is really who he/she says he/she is, based on the collated results of the environment biological information. |
