PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective coating with which a color image printed by offset, ink-jet or xerographic means is protected from scratch, image resistance and undesirable retransfer of ink from an ink-jet image to an unnecessary surface and is stabilized. SOLUTION: This protective coating is obtained by using a thermoplastic ionomer so as to form a transparent protective overcoat on a color image printed by offset, ink-jet or xerographic means. |
