PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit the space around a boiler body to be small, simplify structure and reduce construction period for assembly, in a water tube boiler which is used for a refuse incinerator, a refuse melting furnace or the like. SOLUTION: The boiler is constituted of the boiler body 2 and a back stay 3. In particular, the back stay 3 is provided on the outside of a water wall 6 of the body 2 to reinforce the wall 6, being formed with a connecting path 17 which is directed to a boiler drum 16, so that the back stay 3 also serves as a connecting tube 17.
