PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium which has a dyestuff recording layer formed by a solution coating method, can provide a stable tracking signal, has increased capacity by recording signals at land parts and groove parts and enables land-and-groove recording. SOLUTION: (1) An optical recording medium is provided with a recording layer which is formed by the solution coating method and contains dyestuff on a substrate provided with a concentric groove (recessed part) on a guide groove land part (projection part) (2), An optical recording medium mentioned by (1) further has a metal reflecting layer on the recording layer. (3) An optical recording medium mentioned by (1) or (2) further satisfies conditions of W1>W2, h1>h2, and substantially d1=d2, where W1 is the half-value width of the groove of the guide groove part (recessed part), h1 the depth, W2 the half-value width of the concentric groove (recessed part) provided on the guide groove land part (projection part), h2 the depth, d1 the film thickness of the guide groove part (recessed part) of the dyestuff recording layer formed by the solution coating method on respective recessed parts, and d2 the film thickness of the concentric groove part provide don the land parts (projection part). |
