METHOD FOR COATING SUBSTRATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the coating of a substrate surface with a coating material composition, enabling the application of a powder coating material with a coating facility similar to the conventional facility for solvent- type coating materials without using a special coating facility for powder coating materials and free from the problems of the solvent-type coating materials even in the case of coating a highly active material such as magnesium or a magnesium alloy. SOLUTION: The method for the coating of a substrate surface comprises the use of a powder coating material composition dispersed in a nonaqueous medium and containing solid resin particles of a powder coating material having an average particle diameter of 1-500μm dispersed in the nonaqueous medium which is a non-solvent or a poor solvent for the solid resin particles.
