PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the effective utilization of illuminating light by reducing the wasted illuminating light by optimally setting the projection range of the illuminating light projected to a body to be illuminated in accordance with the breadth and length size of the body to be illuminated. SOLUTION: By using a 1st lens array set 5 where cylindrical lens arrays 5a and 5b are arranged in a direction orthogonal to each other and a 2nd lens array set 6 where cylindrical lenses 6a and 6b are arranged in a direction orthogonal to each other as a 1st lens array and a 2nd lens array constituting what is called an integrator optical system, the setting of the projection range of the illuminating light to the body to be illuminated 1 is optimized in accordance with the dimension of the breadth and length of the body to be illuminated 1, so that the wasted illuminating light is reduced to realize the effective utilization of the illuminating light.
