PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a liquid crystal display device, wherein even if an additional mask is not used, a multi-domain structure is realized and a visual field angle can be enhanced, in the manufacturing method for a TN mode liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: A pixel electrode is formed in such a manner that at a part (C) to be a first area 82a having a rough surface, the exposure is reduced by positioning a slit pattern, a lattice-shaped pattern or a semi-transparent mask 200a, at a part (A) to be a second area 82b having a smooth surface, the part is not exposed by positioning an opaque pattern mask 200b and at a part (B) where no pixel electrode 82 is formed, the entire surface of the part is exposed by positioning a transparent pattern mask. A common electrode is formed using similar masks.
