PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup and an optical information reproducing device or an optical information recording/reproducing device using it capable of using light beams of two wavelengths in which a difference in wavelength bands for use is largely different. SOLUTION: The wavelength band is selected using a polarizing rotation control element, and a means which rotates the polarization direction of only a light beam of a selected wavelength band is provided. Thus, an optical system of the optical pickup capable of using laser beams in which two wavelength bands are largely different is composed. The information reproducing device or the information recording/reproducing device on which the optical pickup is mounted is formed. |
