PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact waveguide dielectric filter whose loss is small. SOLUTION: Input and output electrodes 33 and 43 and ground electrodes 35 and 45 are formed in rectangular dielectrics 31 and 41, and level differences 37 and 47 or tapers are formed along one side of the dielectrics 31 and 41. Therefore, two resonance modes are allowed to exist in the respective dielectrics 31 and 41, and connected through exposed parts 49 of the dielectrics on the joint face.
