PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a whisker shown in Figure 6 from occurring in voltage between a collector and an emitter of a switching transistor, eliminate need for using a litz wire as a winding, and reduce the number of diodes to one for economy, by improving connection between a primary winding and a secondary winding. SOLUTION: This ringing choke converter circuit comprises a switching transformer 2 having a primary winding 7 connected with a DC power supply 1 and a secondary winding 8 of a polarity opposite to the primary winding 7, a switching device 3 of switching the DC power supply 1 through the primary winding 7, a rectifying and smoothing circuit 4 of rectifying and smoothing the voltage of the secondary winding 8 and supplying the voltage to a load. In the ringing choke converter circuit, the switching transformer 2 is constituted of a transformer without a gap, and a choke 13 is connected in parallel with the secondary winding 8 of the switching transformer 2.
