PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a patch antenna whose gain is high. SOLUTION: This patch antenna is constituted so that since a supporting member 5 constituted of a dielectric is arranged at the central part of a patch part 4, the supporting member 5 can be positioned at the part whose field intensity is strong. Therefore, the loss in high frequency can be reduced, and the maximum field intensity at the edge part of the patch part 4 can be increased. Thus, it is possible to provide the patch antenna whose gain is high.
