PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection yoke with a ferrite core held at the best position. SOLUTION: The deflection yoke having a horizontal deflecting coil 1, an insulating frame 20, a vertical deflecting coil 3 and a ferrite core 4 arranged in sequence from the inside to the outside comprises a plurality of elastic protruded portions 21a, 21b erected on an outer wall 20a of a small-bore portion of the insulating frame 20 for holding an outer wall 4a of a small-bore portion of the ferrite core 4. Thus, the ferrite core 4 is located and held at the best position in a vertical axis Y direction. Preferably, the outer wall 4a of the small-bore portion of the ferrite core 4 has a tapered portion 4e with its bore being gradually smaller as tending to the end of the small-bore portion and the elastic protruded portions 21a, 21b hold the tapered portion 4d. Accordingly, the ferrite core 4 is also located at the best position in a tube axis Z direction.
