PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time required for stabilizing internal voltage at the time of applying a power source, in an internal voltage generating device used for a semiconductor integrated circuit such as a semiconductor memory or the like. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an internal power source generating circuit 1 generating internal power source voltage Int. VCC, a VPP generating circuit 4 inputting this internal power source voltage Int. VCC and generating internal voltage VPP, and a power source switching circuit 6 supplying directly external power source voltage Ext. VCC to the VPP generating circuit 4 instead of the internal power source voltage Int. VCC from the internal power source generating circuit 1 at the time of rise of the external power source voltage Ext. VCC.
