发明名称 METHOD FOR ARRAYING OPTICAL CONNECTOR AND SEMICONDUCTOR LASER WITHIN OPTICAL TRANSCEIVER MODULE
摘要 PURPOSE: A method for arraying an optical connector and a semiconductor laser within an optical transceiver module is provided to obtain a stable optical output from a semiconductor laser by using a ferrule processed with an angled physical contact. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor laser chip and a photo diode are mounted in a TO-46 semiconductor laser(110). One side of a ferrule(120) is processed with a physical contact and the other side of the ferrule(120) is processed with an angled physical contact. A sleeve(130) is used for guiding connection between the ferrule processed with the physical contact and an optical connector of an LC(Lucent Connector) type. A plurality of holders(140,150) are used for combining the ferrule(120), the sleeve(130), and the TO-46 semiconductor laser(110). The holders(140,150) are fabricated by using stainless steal.
