Absorbing spring (1) made of rubber or a rubber-like material has a cylindrical body shape with deformation zones allowing axial shortening. An axial through opening (9) receives the piston rod of a piston cylinder unit. The deformation zones are formed by radial holes (7) receiving deformed volume parts of the absorbing spring. Preferred Features: The holes are diamond-shaped and dimensioned so that the absorbing spring has a lattice structure.
