A suction valve for a small refrigerator compressor has a spring blade 16 with an aperture 19 provided with an extension 17 which is keyed into a correspondingly shaped opening in a plate 15 of the same thickness as the blade. Diametrically opposed holes 18, 21 in the plate and blade coact with lugs to locate the plate and blade between an apertured valve seat plate and a hard sealing ring on the cylinder of the compressor, the seat being coated with adhesive prior to the blade and plate being individually placed on the lugs and relatively rotated to their keyed position.</p> |
