PURPOSE: A plant extract composition having an inhibiting activity against cytotoxicity, antioxidant activity or harmful bacteria in the intestinal tract is provided which can be used as preventive agents against cancer and ageing, additives for health auxiliary food or additives for beverage. CONSTITUTION: This composition contains 0.01 to 20% by weight of one or more plants selected from the group consisting of Hypochoeris radicata, Acanthopanax koreanum, Platycarya strobilacea Sieb., Castanopsis cuspidata var. sieboldii and additionally a carrier, wherein the plants are extracted in butanol, methanol, ethanol, propanol, etc., preferably methanol.
