Collecting and removing domestic refuse - using wheeled frame with lift fork which raises receptacle and tipping by tailboard of dustcart

The arrangement for collecting and removing domestic refuse makes use of a receptacle (1) with at least one hinged coverd (2) which is taken to the refuse collecting vehicle and emptied therein by lifting and tipping. This is carried out by means of a frame (8-10) with wheels (7) and a lift fork (13, 14), which fits recesses (6) under the bottom of the receptacle, and raises it, so that it can be wheeled to the vehicle. The vehicle has a lifting tail board with projections fitting eyes on the frame, permitting the frame with receptacle to be lifted and then tipped, thus emptying the contents in the vehicle.
